In Combustion there is option write on path in Text operator.

Create new text layer in Combustion.

Write many dots in the text area as shown on the picture.

Reduce tracking in negative value so we get the line.

Under advanced options of the text under Type use Path option.

Click on the text tool so we get the path visualy.

Modify the path the way you want.

Under Layout animate the Write On option to get draw on path effect.
